The Perfect Pancakes !

When it comes to pancakes, I have tried and tested many recipes. I love cooking and eating pancakes made with different ingredients and toppings. Below is my recipe for the perfect pancakes.

This recipe makes enough for 3-4 people so if you are cooking for more just double the recipe. Start with 1 and a half cups of flour and then add 4 teaspoons of baking powder. (4 may seem like a lot but this is the secret to getting the softest fluffiest pancakes 😋). Finally add a pinch of salt and sugar. I think around a tablespoon should be good, but I prefer to add sweetness with toppings rather than in the pancake.

Then in another bowl put in the wet ingredients- First crack 1 large egg then add 1 tablespoon of milk. Then add 1 quarter cup of melted butter. Mix the wet ingredients then add the dry ones to it. Mix them all together. Add some more milk, if you like, little by little and keep mixing it, because the batter cannot be too thick.

Now put a flat, non stick pan on the stove. Put a small trickle of oil and let it heat on medium-high. Lower the heat once its hot. Now, put one scoop of batter on the pan in a round shape,

Wait for small bubbles to appear in the batter. The you know its ready to be flipped. If you flip to early, it will stick to the pan. Now flip the pancakes very quickly, just using your wrist to turn the spatula. If you don’t flip quickly, the pancake can just fold up.

Let the other side cook. Take the pancake off form the pan. Add some whipped cream and fruit, or honey// or maple syrup and butter- whatever you like. and and then eat them.
