Hi Everyone. In today’s post, I am going to be writing a book review of the book: From The Desk Of Zoe Washington.

From The Desk Of Zoe Washington is a fantastic book! It’s about a 12-year-old girl who has aspirations to become a chef and appear on a bake-off TV show as well as author a cookbook. The story is mainly about how she receives a letter from Marcus her biological father who she has never met. Marcus was sent to prison for murdering someone in college before Zoe was born. She doesn't tell her parents that she got the letter, and she writes him back. She starts a friendship with Marcus who tells Zoe that he's innocent. She investigates the case and tries to find a possible witness. All this is happening while in her own private life she is dealing with issues with relationships with friends.

I like the book and can relate to Zoe’s everyday challenges at school and her dreams and aspirations. Her belief in her father and the investigation to prove him innocent was very engrossing and made the book very exciting for me to read. If you like thrillers or books about middle school girls and their worlds, do read it.
